I have many years of teaching experience, which includes over seven years of tutoring in the field of science, and I have worked with students ranging from middle school to college. As a tutor, I believe it is important to cover both the material as well as strategies for exams, as both are needed for a successful outcome. I love to teach and I always try to help students understand the whole picture of the material being taught. I believe it is important for students to see how things are related to form the whole, which in turn helps them understand more specific concepts. I also do my best to make sessions interesting and fun, using examples whenever possible. My educational background is in science, with biology being my favorite. I have a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from University of California Irvine, and I graduated with honors. I am currently on a sabbatical from medical school, as I wanted to focus on a business venture at this time. However, at some point I plan to return to medical school and pursue specialties in oncology and surgery. Aside from science, my other interests include traveling, keeping fit, watching sports and movies, and enjoying time with my friends and family.
