Experience
I studied for a year in France, so I am knowledgeable about the culture, in addition to being proficient in the language (standard French, as well as familiar French). During my college career I tutored more than 70 hours of French and have had experience helping out in a High School French class. With TESOL as my minor, I have also been certified to teach English to international students. This certificate was gained after more than 90 hours of tutoring speakers of other languages and 70 hours of working in their classrooms, including teaching for a month at a University in Mexico. I’ve had experience working with a variety of grades and nationalities, from 4th-7th grade Korean and Spanish students to Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Mexican, and Saudi college students. I don’t only specialize in English grammar, but also teaching reading, writing, and study skills to students learning English as second language. I want to be a tutor because I have a passion for learning and this passion has fueled my interest for helping others learn. My interest is your success and, in addition, helping you to develop a love for either of these languages.
