I have a M. S. and M. Ed. and teach math and science at the K-College level at Bothell Tutoring. I am endorsed in both Biology and Chemistry, which opens up the possibility of teaching all levels of math and science in the state of Washington. With 13 years of teaching experiences in charter, public, and private schools, I am well equipped to support students and parents with a variety of academic needs and targeted interests. I completely enjoy tutoring! I thrive at providing extra resources, small but very useful tips, and unconditional never ending support. I love helping kids think about their thinking... In general, I meet with students at my home (I have loads of materials here) and provide individualized curriculum and/or assist students in their current class work. I am also an on-line and in-class math and science teacher at the Northwest Liberty School in Woodinville. Because I teach such a wide range of students VERY closely, and a broad spectrum of classes, I can provide insight and understanding to students in a way that a regular classroom teacher cannot. I can observe details closely and really give time for a student to feel that they have integrated concepts and meaning into their own ideas. It is a powerful experience for me to be a part of and I very much enjoy my role as a tutor! I also enjoy contacting parents and exchanging my observations, noteworthy articles, and resources in order to really help kids succeed.
